Sur son site historique, au Potager du Roi, l’École nationale supérieure de paysage tisse un lien intime entre l’héritage du paysagisme classique, de l’horticulture et les questions d’avenir sur la ville fertile.
Le dimanche 5 juin dernier, le baptême de la rose 'Potager du Roi' a été l’occasion de reconnaître l’excellence du savoir-faire d’un rosiériste français réputé et passionné, François Félix, et de faire vivre la brillante histoire horticole du Potager.
Élaborée durant dix années à Le Grand Lemps, la rose 'Potager du Roi' est un hybride de Rosa rugosa, dont les fleurs semi-doubles, d'un rose soutenu, rappellent une grande fleur d'églantine.
L’école a sélectionné un rosier rustique, résistant aux maladies et à la sècheresse, afin qu’il contribue à incarner les efforts de sélection variétale nécessaires face aux nouvelles contraintes climatiques et environnementales.
